Spotlight on Zoey

Zoey is a joyful and kind child who just started kindergarten.  She loves learning and loves
being with friends.  Zoey enjoys playing soccer and practicing gymnastics, and she is looking forward to starting dance classes this fall.  She is
always singing and moving and laughing and only slows down to practice writing her letters or catch an episode of one of her favorite shows.  Being
young, Zoey is just starting to understand more about her Sickle Cell Disease and what to be mindful about, but she does not let it slow her down.  Zoey likes to proclaim she is strong and brave, just like the superheroes she loves
so much (especially Captain America and the Hulk).  Zoey is a friendly and energetic child, whose thoughtfulness, along with her smile and dimples, brings joy to everyone who knows her.

boosttutors.png

Are you looking for someone to help tutor your child?

Are you looking for someone to help tutor your child? C.U.R.E. Childhood Cancer Association works with Boost to provide supplementary tutoring for children with cancer and other chronic diseases, which may prevent normal educational development. The group of teachers at Boost Tutors, will not supplement the tutoring being provided by the school, but will act as a “boost” to a child by helping him/her better understand material being presented at the child’s grade level. The tutors use their teaching expertise to fill the gap left when traditional schooling is not possible. The group is currently in need of volunteer tutors, also. For more information please contact Adella Ivison, Program Coordinator for C.U.R.E. at 585-473-0180 or Adella.ivison@curekidscancer.com and she will make a referral.
