C.U.R.E. Volunteers help make our Survivors’ Day Picnic a blast for our Families!

Make a difference in a Family or Child’s life through volunteering

If you’re looking to make a difference in someone’s life, volunteer with us! We aim to be a support system for families navigating their way through diagnosis, treatment, and beyond. It’s truly our volunteers who make one of the biggest impact in how we connect with and support our C.U.R.E. families.

Community Partners

C.U.R.E. is proud to partner with the United Way and several local businesses to raise awareness as well as funds. If you want an effortless way to make a difference, look no further.

United Way

If your employer offers contributions to the United Way, it’s easy to ensure that your donation goes to C.U.R.E. Childhood Cancer Association. Simply obtain the donor choice designation form from the United Way solicitor, check off Choice 4 — Provider Designation, and specify ID #1028. Then fill in the amount of your donation. It’s that simple.

Smallprint

Keepsake jewelry featuring a loved one’s fingerprint, handprint, or footprint makes an ideal gift for any parent, grandparent, sibling, or other family member. Check out Smallprint Northeast’s website to choose from charms, keychains, cufflinks, and other one-of-a-kind jewelry options. When you place an order, they will donate 15% of the purchase price to C.U.R.E.

Awareness Coffee Company

Whether you rely on that daily cup of joe to get you going each morning or enjoy treating yourself to an afternoon pick-me-up of espresso, why not support C.U.R.E. with your choice of coffee?

The folks at Awareness Coffee Company roast single-origin beans in small batches before packaging them in eye-catching bags, each design devoted to a specific cause. Awareness Coffee Company then donates a whopping 50% of its profits to the associated charities.

Volunteers:

It’s no exaggeration to say that C.U.R.E. would not exist without the efforts of dedicated volunteers. Most volunteer opportunities do not require special skills, just a positive attitude and a desire to help others! Here are some of the volunteer activities that are available:

  • Digging in the dirt to tend our beautiful gardens

  • Lending a hand at a fundraiser or one of the events we host for our families

  • Helping parents choose gifts for their children at our annual Holiday Shop

  • Preparing for our premier fundraiser, the C.U.R.E. Sunday Brunch

  • Performing administrative duties such as data entry

C.U.R.E. also welcomes educators with K-12 teaching experience to volunteer as tutors for our Boost Tutoring program.

Volunteering with C.U.R.E. is an enjoyable, rewarding way to help hundreds of local families whose lives have been affected by cancer and blood disorders. It’s also a lot of fun!
